Relay early payments customer story

Form Building & Developments is a construction company based in Mount Maunganui, Bay of Plenty, with a core team of over 100 people. The company has made its mark on the New Zealand construction landscape across Auckland, Waikato, and Bay of Plenty since 2007.

With the fast-paced growth in the construction sector, Form has an ever-expanding list of projects that range from commercial and industrial to a number of schools and facilities for the Ministry of Education. All projects vary in complexity and come with their own unique challenges - from the scale of the Huapai Country Club to the special food-grade requirements of the Whakatohea Mussel Processing Factory.

Matt has been part of Form's journey as CFO for close to 5 years. He has an obsession with numbers which is paramount in the construction industry - cash management trumps everything given often very short windows of cash going in and out. Matt geeks out on any tactics that help maximise the balance sheet. Besides the numbers he is passionate about leading the team to make a difference. The finance team is core to creating value to the business as Form selects projects based on their risk profile of which cashflow is a key consideration.

Matt chose to go with Relay as another cash management tool in his tool box that helps him drive additional savings as well as streamline his team's finance processes. Running an early payments programme is a no-brainer for Matt - Form earns cashback at no cost by paying early with money in the bank while supporting subcontractors with healthy cashflow. It's a win-win for Form and its supply chain.
